blood donations *shudder* needles *shiver*..that was how i felt before i went for my first blood donation ever on wednesday..i mean, if i had to take injections, i don't mind lar..cos i HAVE to..but this one, i'm like choosing to endure pain..sigh..oh well, at least i know that i'm saving up to 3 lives, that's what the website said..so, what's a little pain for 3 lives, right? =) quite a number of us went..chris, angela, kay, hillary, katherine, wendy, newway and i were the ones who went for this outing..too bad more couldn't come..not all of us donated though..2 of the girls were underweight (cos they're short girls, not their fault), and another girl had too low a haemogoblin count..but at least they have good intentions, right? =) so, the first pain was when they tested my blood..she didn't even give a warning! it was a sharp, stinging pain on my finger..then came the blood donation..the needle was HUGE! not exaggerating..the diameter was more than twice the size of a normal needle O_O but surprisingly, it wasn't painful! i was expecting more pain..n the nurse said i had good veins..haha..prominent..

after donating blood, we had a good hearty meal provided by the red cross..because we're first time donors, we get special priveledges! sort of..u could eat a lot of stuff for free! i had a ham sandwich, salad and a vanilla milkshake..not bad! u could even have a hot dog n stuff..how cool is that? ;) but then the milkshake a bit cheating wan..when i got it, it was filled to the brim, after a few mins of talking, it was only half full =P all those bubbles for nothing..sheesh!

just a day b4, we had a bbq..5 of us only though..leo and kitty (the inseparable duo), katherine, chris and i..imagine the 3 of us had to be a tiang lampu aka lamp post for the whole day..sigh..the day started clouded, but slowly became hotter by the minute..the bbq was electric, but it took such a long time to get it heated =P had a good meal, and after that we played 'old maid'..loser had to eat or drink disgusting stuff..so, the first punishment was a pringles chip with tomato sauce, bbq sauce, honey, pepper and garlic sauce =D katherine had to eat it, but she couldn't take it, so i ate the other half..oh boy, the pepper went straight through my nose =s hehe..when my turn came, i had coke, vanilla coke, water, apple passionfruit juice, tomato sauce, bbq sauce, pepper, honey..oh, and a marshmallow in the drink as well..not bad actually =D hahahaha...after that, we walked around the park to accompany katherine to the place where her mom would pick her up..overall, a good day =) then we had to let those 2 lovebirds in peace while chris and i ran away haha..

been job hunting..my top priority would be to get a job in the health science field..i've already sent in an application to a nearby private hospital..the ideal job would be as a physiotherapy aide..recently came across this ad looking for volunteers for the World Salsa Congress..sounds interesting, don't u think? hahaha..can learn some salsa on the way ;)

well, i'd just like to say that i'm quite sure, 90% sure, that i'll be going back to m'sia at the end of the year..20th november is the date i have in my mind..so, i really look forward to seeing everyone back home =D i miss food..LOL..but i'm lucky, my aunt cooks me all the m'sian food hahaha..
